If you have a CA streamer, why aren't you using the CA app? Lots of confusing stuff here & I'm not going to search out the previous thread. But ideally can import and maintain my existing playlists, though this is not life or death.ĭisclaimer : What I know about UpNp players and DLNA I could write on a postage stamp.Īny help is HUGELY appreciated, as this random and seemingly unsolveable crackling in airplay is doing my head inĬlick to expand.I read that as the archived CDs are stored in the loft, not the digital library. I am not worried about iPod or using my phone to store the music. Please can someone recommend a good uPnP or DLNA program that I can use instead of iTunes, but must be compatible with the Synology Diskstation and compatible with my Cambridge Audio 851N. I have used the DS (Synology) Audio thingy and I find this horrifically slow (5 minutes to respond to skip/pause, etc), and maintaining playlists is a horrendous process I have noticed crackling in certain files (usually on intro and outro of songs) and it seems to be only on iTunes using airplay.
#MINIMSERVER AND SYNOLOGY COMPATIBILITY 320KBPS#
Some of my music files are 320kbps MP3 and some are lossless Alac files ripped from my CDs which now live in the loft. I use a Synology DiskStation NAS drive and have purchased a Cambridge Audio 851N & 851A. I plan on upgrading some o.I have been using iTunes for several years, have a huge library, and have playlists. Because it's an old building with stone exterior, whoever did the wiring took some unusual routes to get the wire where needed. Hi,I have a customer in an older building where the wiring was done over 10 years ago.
I am confused as to what might be causing this issue. Some users receive the location is not available error when they try to connect the NAS device, but if they wait a min or two and try again it will connect. I have tried remapping users and it will work for a bit and then loose connection after a short time and the user will have to wait a few mins for it to reconnect.
I have assigned the NAS device to our DC, entered in our NetBIOS name, as well as our Domain FQDN. I have all of our local DNS servers listed and management mode is set to Trusted Domain. I have confirmed that the NAS device is connected to our domain and when I perform the Domain Status Check I get the errors listed below in the image.

The users experience lost connections and delay when they try to access the NAS or it shows not connected in windows explorer. The last few days our Synology NAS has been having issues maintain a connection when mapped to windows devices.
